If you’re heading to the Caribbean to celebrate your first few days of wedded bliss, you’re in luck. There are some amazing tours offered in these destinations that can help you pack a whole lot of fun into your honeymoon.
Here are just a few of our favorite Caribbean tours by destination:
• Jamaica – If you’re heading to Montego Bay, be sure to consider the bobsled, skyride and zipline adventure tour. You can also look into deep sea sport fishing tours or even spend a day swimming with the dolphins.
• Antiqua – Want to pack in all 365 beaches Antigua is famous for during your honeymoon? Consider going on the Xtreme Circumnavigation tour out of St. Johns. During this trip, you’ll get to see the entire coastline. If you prefer on-land adventures, the Rainforest Canopy Adventure could be perfect for you!
• Barbados – Hoping to take in some of the amazing sites before you leave this Caribbean destination? Consider going on a snorkeling cruise or spend a few hours aboard the Jolly Roger. On that particular lunch cruise, you can live the pirate life while being treated to a barbecue feast.
• Bahamas – Heading to Nassau to celebrate your union? Be sure work in a few tours before you go. Some of the most popular include the dolphin encounters, culinary classes and the Sea Garden and Historic Harbour tour.
• Aruba – A trip here offers all kind of a tour potential. You can spend a day taking a jeep safari, go on an island tour that includes some of the most notable sites, including the Aloe Vera Factory and Museum, the Casibari Rock Formations and the California Light House.
Depending on where you go in the Caribbean, you’ll also find there are some amazing tours that combine getting hands-on with local cultures with very rewarding volunteer work. There are a number of tour providers throughout the Caribbean that can hook you and your honey up with enriching volunteer opportunities. You can, for example, help record historic buildings in the Dominican Republic, work on masonry repairs in St. Kitts, help out at local animal shelters and more.

2013-It was a very good year!

| December 27th, 2013 | No Comments »

It’s hard to believe that 2013 is coming to an end. What an exciting year it was! We had so many things going on at Bliss Honeymoons it was hard to keep up with all the new products and changes. But we couldn’t be happier with the way that the year turned out. Here’s a little bit about what went on behind the scenes here at Bliss.

  1. We booked a lot of Mexico:  And by a lot, I do mean a lot! I’ve always been a huge fan of Mexico-the resorts are amazing, and it’s an exceptional value.  It’s great to see travelers are also realizing that it’s a beautiful, fantastic destination rather than the scary place the media makes it out to be. Most of our Mexico honeymooners said they can’t wait to go back!
  2. We took a lot of great trips: I traveled to the island of St Lucia this year, and was really, really impressed by it. St Lucia consistently wins awards for being the most beautiful, most romantic, most amazing island in the Caribbean, and all of these awards are well deserved. Kyle and Bernie spent a few days checking out some great hotels in Jamaica. And Lindsay got a great introductory tour of Mexico.
  3. We expanded our offerings: Last year we created the Bungalow H20 Collection. This signature collection includes some of the best overwater bungalows, infinity pool suites, and beach bungalows you’ll find. Just in time for 2014, we’ve introduced the Foodie Inclusive Collection, perfect for our foodie clients who want the convenience of an all-inclusive with and a great culinary experience.  Who says you can’t have it all!
  4. We expanded our families: Kyle and his wife Rhea gave birth to baby Alex in July. And Hilary and her husband adopted 3 children all under the age of 6! Hats off to both of them!
  5. We learned a lot! At Bliss we always love a challenge, and many of our clients gave us just that! We sent one bride to a hotel made out of ice, while others wanted Iceland, New Zealand, and many other of your “not so typical” honeymoons.

We’re very excited to see what 2014 has in store for us!

Thank you again to all of our clients, suppliers and partners for all of your support. Happy New Year to all!

P.S. Do you have some ideas about what you’d like to see on our blog in the upcoming year? Please post it on the comments section below!

Our Favorite Things To Do In Hawaii

Our Favorite Things to Do in Hawaii

When the words “tropical” and “honeymoon” are combined in a sentence Hawaii is one of the first places most people think of and rightfully so. After all, this collection of islands is famed for its friendly people, beautiful resorts and awe-inspiring, highly romantic landscapes.

But, just what can honeymooners do during a stay in Hawaii is a question that often gets asked. While specific attractions vary based on the island or islands you choose to visit during your honeymoon, here are some of our favorite things to do in Hawaii to help you plan out your adventure:

  • Go beach hopping: Whether you’re staying right on Waikiki or your plans take you closer to Oahu’s North Shore, a Hawaiian honeymoon isn’t complete without a day or two at the beach. Each of the islands boasts its own top beaches with their own distinct traits. What you’ll find, however, is that all of them offer beautiful sights, warm waters and plenty of activities that go beyond swimming. Depending on where and when you visit, you can also enjoy sailing, snorkeling, whale watching, hang gliding and a whole lot more during a trip to a “typical” Hawaiian beach. Should you desire a truly romantic excursion, consider a moonlit walk along the Hawaiian shores or get hooked up for beachfront horseback riding.
  • Go hiking: If you want to get a true taste of the beauty that is Hawaii you have to get out of a car or off the tour bus to really experience the splendor. One of the best ways to do this is to spend a leisurely day hiking some of Hawaii’s most notable terrain. Some of the best places to go include Hanakapi’ai Falls in Kauai, Koko Head Crater trail, Kings Highway and the Wa’ahila Ridge Trail.
  • Take an aerial tour: Not ready to hit the trails on foot, but still want to see Hawaii’s splendor in a more intimate and romantic way? If so, a small plane or helicopter tour of some of the famous sights might be in order. The advantage here is you’ll get a bird’s eye view of the beautiful volcanic mountains and lush valleys without having to break a sweat in the process. Plus, these tours can be arranged for two, which means your alone time can largely remain so.
  • Get dangerous: If you and your honey want some serious adventure and you don’t mind getting wet in the process consider cage diving with sharks. Yep, you can do this in Hawaii! Oahu’s North Shore is famous for its guided shark encounters.

Are you ready to plan a post-wedding trip that’s sure to create memories that will last a lifetime? If so, just talk to our honeymoon travel experts about the unusual, romantic and fascinating things to do in Hawaii.
