Favorite honeymoon destination:
Riviera Maya, Mexico – There is so much to offer in this area of Mexico that no matter what you are looking for you will always be beyond impressed. There are endless activities for every type of interest so you can do as much or as little as you want.
Favorite Destination Wedding:
Negril, Jamaica – Seven miles of white sand beaches, some of the most beautiful sunsets in the Caribbean, and a welcoming island vibe are a few things that make Negril one of my favorite places for a wedding.
Most interesting or unique trip I’ve worked on:
Lake Tahoe – This was a day trip that I planned and surprised my husband with while we were staying in Reno. We both love the beauty of nature – seeing and experiencing places that “tourists” don’t get to see. I booked us an all day private chauffeured photographic tour of Lake Tahoe. Our guide was a resident of Lake Tahoe for over 30 years and knew the places off the beaten path to take us to see some of the untold gems of the Lake. Being able to see that side of such an already beautiful destination was the icing on the cake. We came home with pictures we had taken as well as ones that our guide (a professional photographer) had taken of us and of the surroundings. Hiking up the mountains a few miles off the road to see a beautiful ice covered waterfall, watching the animals in their natural surroundings as if we were not there, and walking on the edge of the lake on a completely deserted beach – this was a true experience of a lifetime.
Best travel tips:
Plan a day to do nothing. Don’t try to see everything or do everything on your trip, if you don’t relax and take time to truly enjoy your surroundings you will miss out on the little things.
If I had $10,000 to travel anywhere in the world:
I have always wanted to see Bora Bora – staying in an overwater bungalow with a glass window in the floor, being able to snorkel is the clearest water, and walk on the white sand beaches – nothing to me will compare to the beauty of Bora Bora. After that I think I would continue on to Australia and travel around seeing all there is down under.
Bliss-ism:
Travel isn’t about where you go but what you experience. When you travel it is the little things are what you are going to remember. You won’t remember the number of restaurants but you will remember waking up and enjoying breakfast on the balcony while watching the sunrise. Make sure to do the little things like dinners under the stars, walks on the beach, private chartered tours – these are the experiences you will remember for a lifetime.
