What was your favorite thing about the trip?
We loved the option of being able to leave the resort and see more of the island with the help for the Sandals staff. The staff at the resort were all extremely friendly and helpful. The scenery was incredible and I had to pinch myself everyday to make sure it was real.
How was the food? Was there a memorable meal or cocktail you’d like to share?
The food was outstanding. Everything being prepaid was a bit odd at first but I was glad to see the didn’t hold back on the quality of the food served. Our favorite breakfast was the buffet at Bayside and all of the American favorites mixed with tropical fruits. Lunch was definitely Barefoot Restaurant with their seafood influenced foods. Dinner would be Mario’s Italian Restaurant. They easily have the best dessert in their famous personal sized lava cake. Although Barefoot comes in a close second with their chocolate mousse. We didn’t make it to Elenors due to the reservations filling up so quickly.
Were there any service issues we should be aware of?
Room service was great but it was hard to communicate with them at times. They came in 3 times a day to restock and it was awkward when we were in the room (say in the shower) and they walked in.Also, avoid the cheese. I got a stomach virus at some point and I have a feeling that might have been the culprit since there are so many flies around.

Reason for your response
We loved our honeymoon experience! Glad we extended to 10 days and the travel was already set up for us. It was a bit of a rush on the way home through customs to reach our connection. But our consultant gave us alternatives should we choose that route. We choose the risk and it worked out in our favor. It would have been great to know that airlines don’t serve free food anymore on long flights. But that was the only downside.
