What was your favorite thing about the trip? | |
The accommodations were fantastic (clean, comfortable, spacious, friendly/knowledgeable staff, high-quality food at hotel’s restaurant), but discovering the culture of Thailand itself was the best part – such a friendly, happy, independent, proud culture! | |
How was the food? Was there a memorable meal or cocktail you’d like to share? | |
All of the food was very good! Surprisingly, Thailand was very accommodating for vegetarians as well – most restaurants/dinner cruises/buffets had non-meat options, and we were constantly asked by staff leading various excursions if we were vegetarians. | |
Were there any service issues we should be aware of? | |
1) The excursion to Pattaya booked through Travel Bound did not go as planned and was unorganized. Staff was unfriendly, AND the drive to Pattaya was longer than I had originally anticipated – not an excursion I would recommend (even though I’m a raving fan of the beach).
2) I booked my own excursion to the floating markets, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others in the future. It was too far away, too commercialized, and not worth losing out on exploring the capital, Bangkok. |

As someone who is fairly well-traveled, I tend to book my own trips (flights, excursions, hotels, etc.) assuming I can find better deals on my own. However, it was SO nice to have someone else worry about everything, and I was happy with the service and quality of all airlines, hotels, excursions, etc. that Lindsay booked for me and my husband. It was also nice to have someone to contact in case something went wrong. Lindsay kept me updated throughout the booking experience, and she responded promptly whenever I had a question or concern. |
